CREIGHTON JUMPS INTO TOP 10 ON FINAL DAY OF ECU INTERCOLLEGIATE

GREENVILLE, N.C. – Jumping 15 spots in the final round of play, Myles Creighton shot one-under and finished the ECU Intercollegiate tied for sixth on Tuesday. The team moved up one spot and finished sixth.

KEY STORYLINES

The Highlanders improved their score by five strokes from round two to three.
The improvement helped them move up, but the rest of the field had a great day and only allowed them to jump one spot.
The 298 round three finish propelled them to a tie for sixth place.
Myles Creighton was on the outside looking in after the first day, but capitalized on the final round.
He shot one-under (71) and enhanced his score in each round. The three-stroke improvement led him to a tie for sixth place finish.
He has now finished inside the top 10 in nine consecutive spring tournaments.
Peter Gasperini slipped a little, but still finished with a top 15 finish. He shot four-over (76) and ended in a tie for 14^th place.
The team had a lot of pars in the final day of action and Gareth Sargent led the way with three birdies.
Sargent and Hunter Duncan improved their scores and moved up on the leaderboard.
East Carolina came from behind and medaled by one stroke over Georgetown.
Campbell trumped Charleston Southern and shot a field-best 291 for the third place spot.
