WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Led by freshman Riko Nagai, the Radford women's golf team moved up one spot after carding a 315 in the third round of the William & Mary Fall Invitational on Monday.
Nagai shot a team-best four-over on the cloudy, windy day, while Beatriz Mosquera Quintas was right behind her with a six-over for the second best day of any Highlander. Despite the six-over, Mosquera Quintas still finished inside the top 10 in her first collegiate tournament. The freshman finished eighth on the individual leaderboard and five-over through three rounds of play.
Sidney Walker picked up a top 25 finish – in a tie for 23rd – after posting an eight-over par in the final round. She tallied a team-leading six birdies.
Finishing inside the top 50 was freshman Natalie Welsh who ended the invitational 23-over and tied for 44th. Senior Kasidy Beckel fell a few spots and finished the competition inside the top 70.
The Highlanders individual player, Hannah Tuttle, finished 57th and shot (+29) through the 54 rounds of play.
