MEN’S GOLF OPENS FALL SEASON AT VCU INVITATIONAL

RICHMOND, Va. – Despite the weather of Hurricane Florence, the men's golf season will get underway on Monday at the VCU Invitational at the Country Club of Virginia in Richmond.

FALL PREVIEW
The Highlanders will look to replace the all-time scoring leader at Radford in Myles Creighton. With five players returning from last season in this lineup, Radford is poised for a great 2018. There are only four upperclassmen returning for the Highlanders in Ben Ramsey, Peter Gasperini, Ryan Ahrens and Tyler Olinger. Gasperini is the leading returner of the group with 26 rounds played last season. Along with the four upperclassmen are seven returning underclassmen. Hunter Duncan also had 26 rounds played as a freshman last season. He is one of three sophomores in the lineup along with Tyler Hull and Parker See.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT
With chances of thunderstorms in the forecast, the field will play 36 holes on Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday. Both days are slated with a shotgun start at 8:45 a.m., on the par 72 course.
