HIGHLANDERS COMPLETE COMPETITION AT VIRGINIA TECH INVITATIONAL

BLACKSBURG, Va. – After a record setting performance and nine personal records on day one, the Radford women's track & field team wrapped up day two of the Virginia Tech Invitational on Saturday in Blacksburg.

Kierra Henderson began the day with a finals appearance in the long jump. The junior had a 5.14 mark with a ninth place finish.

A trio of freshman in Talasjah Weathersby, Emilie Miller and Sharniece White competed in the 200m dash. Weathersby and Miller set collegiate bests in the competition. Weathersby led all three with a 26.07 finish, while Miller was right behind her with a 26.58 time.

The Highlanders had two teams competing in the 4x400 relay. Both teams had top 10 finishes. Ryan Paine, Karah Foster, La'Tisha Chambers and Chancey Gunnell made up the team that came in seventh with a 4:00.27 finish. The second team came in 10^th with a 4:14.58 finish. Miller, White, Weathersby and Alexis Stafford made up the other team.
