LISA KOZIOL NAMED ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR OF ATHLETICS AND AUXILIARY SERVICES

RADFORD, Va.  – Lisa Koziol has been named Radford's Associate Director of Athletics and Auxiliary Services, it was announced today by Highlanders' Director of Athletics Robert Lineburg.
 
"We are delighted Lisa Koziol is joining Radford University and Highlander Athletics," said Lineburg. "Lisa has tremendous experience in higher education and an outstanding skillset that will be a huge asset for the University.  We are looking forward to her playing an instrumental role in our department as well as the entire University."
 
Koziol comes to Radford from Virginia Tech, where she has spent the last 22 years of her professional career. Most recently, Koziol held the position of Director of Operations, Biomedical Engineering and Mechanics, where it was her responsibility to oversee department financial management of $16 million in state, overhead, surplus, grant and foundation funding.
 
"I am extremely excited about this opportunity to become part of the Radford University family, and especially to be involved with the Highlander Athletics program," Koziol stated.  "I truly appreciate that Mr. Lineburg and University Administration had the confidence to select me to oversee Athletics and Auxiliary Business Services.  I'm looking forward to using my university and athletics finance experience to help meet the Athletics Department's financial goals and ensure business operations run smoothly and efficiently."
 
Prior to that role, Koziol spent 12 years working in the Hokies' athletic department in various capacities. She began her career in Blacksburg as a Business Manager in 2004 and ascended to the Senior Associate Director of Athletics for Finance and Administration from July, 2014 through December, 2016 after serving as the Associate Director of Athletics for Financial Affairs for eight years. As Senior Associate Director, Koziol was a key member of the Executive Staff for strategic planning and decision-making for budgets and facilities. She directly supervised human resource/payroll and business office staff and processes. 
 
Koziol had numerous achievements while working as a member of the athletic department. She designed and taught an athletics' finance independent study course for student-athletes, served as Interim Senior Woman Administrator from November 2012 through August 2013, participated in Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) meetings/communication and supervised the women's lacrosse program. In addition, Koziol presented athletics finance overviews to various on and off campus groups of staff or students and was a member of the ACC Finance Committee for 2016-2017.
 
Prior to joining Virginia Tech's athletic department, Koziol was the Assistant to the Vice President for Budget and Financial Management at Tech from June, 2002 through January, 2004. She started her career on campus as a Buyer Specialist in September of 1996, and was also a Contracts Officer/Buyer Senior and a Budget Analyst.
 
She holds a Master of Business Administration from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. She received a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from the school as well.
 
A native of Chesapeake, Virginia, Lisa and her fiancé, Douglas Greiner, currently reside in Blacksburg.
