KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. – The Radford men's golf team completed the second round of the Kiawah Classic on Monday, shooting a team score of 297. The Highlanders sit in 16th place with 18 holes remaining.
A trio of 2-over 74 scores highlighted the day for the Highlanders.
Tyler Hull,
Nicholas Taliaferro and
Hunter Duncan each shot 74 for Radford in the second round. Hull had the team's first eagle of the tournament, shooting a 3 on the par-5 fifth hole, while Taliaferro led Radford with three birdies in the round, going under-par on holes 2, 6 and 13. Hull also ranks ninth in the tournament field with 26 pars through the first two rounds.
Peter Gasperini leads the Highlanders through two rounds after shooting a 3-over 75 on Monday. Gasperini is 3-over for the tournament and is currently tied for 39th.
Overall, Auburn leads the tournament at 20-under, 17 shots better than second-place Augusta. The Tigers' Jovan Rebula leads all individuals at 14-under and has an eight-shot lead on USC Upstate's Hunter Fry.
