MEN'S SOCCER FALLS TO UNCW

RADFORD, Va.—The Radford men's soccer (1-2) team dropped the Thursday night matchup versus UNCW (1-2), in a 3-0 decision.

The Highlanders commenced the match with a pair of corner kicks from Pape Oumar Gueye, but were unable to find the back of the net. Around the 32nd minute Mouhameth Thiam sent up Radford's first offering but the shot would be saved by UNCW goalie Gabriel Perrotta. Perrotta followed up the saved would be goal with another that hit the goal post to knock it off course. However, Dondre' Robinson was in the right place at the right time to nab the rebound of Perrotta's shot.

The Seahawks opened up the scoring in the 37th minute via a header goal by Gabriel Cabral off a free kick from the right side of the field across to the left of the eight-yard box. Just shy of the horn to wrap up the first half, UNCW notched their second goal in the 45th minute on a long cross that was passed into the 18-yard box from Mason Schuster. The Seahawks posted their third and final goal of the game in the 50th minute through a low kick from the middle of the box to the left of the goalkeeper.

The Highlanders led the bout with five corners to the Seahawks' one, with several of those coming from Thiam in an attempt to set his teammates to score.

Radford continued to share time on the pitch, with 18 different players seeing the field.
