Men’s and Women’s Hoops Set to Feature One Contest Each on ESPN3

RADFORD, Va. – The Big South Conference announced its annual exclusive regular-season basketball broadcasts on ESPN3 and ESPNU on Tuesday morning, and the Radford men's and women's basketball programs will have one each.

The men's basketball team will host Winthrop for an ESPN3 matchup on Friday, Feb. 12 at 6 p.m., and the women will host Campbell six days prior on Feb. 6 at 3 p.m. That game will also be shown on ESPN3.

The men are also subject to be selected for four potential ESPNU Wildcard Games. There are six total Wildcard dates selected, with the first already slated for Presbyterian at UNC Asheville on Jan. 4. The second is Jan. 14, where the Highlanders host Gardner-Webb. The third is on Jan. 19 and the Highlanders don't play that day. On Jan. 28 Radford hosts USC Upstate and the final two potential Wildcard Game selections has Radford on the road, at Campbell (Feb. 4) and at High Point (Feb. 18). ESPNU Wildcard selections will be determined 14 days in advance.

Eight men's basketball Big South matchups and six women's basketball conference contests will comprise the conference's exclusive ESPN3 "Game of the Week" package beginning in January. All remaining home Big South contests will be carried on ESPN+ for the third consecutive year. The conference also announced its coverage plans for the Hercules Tires Big South Basketball Championships in March.

First round games of the 2021 Hercules Tires Big South Basketball Championships will be carried on ESPN3 -- three games each for the men (March 2) and women (March 9). Quarterfinal coverage continues on ESPN3 with four men's games on March 4 and four women's contests on March 11. The Semifinal round for each will air on ESPN+ (men's – March 5, women's – March 12). ESPN will televise the Men's Championship game for the fifth consecutive year on Sunday, March 7. ESPN+ will carry the Women's Championship game on Sunday, March 14. Both championship games will be contested at the highest remaining seed.
