HIGHLANDERS DOMINATE IN SHORTENED MATCH

WILMINGTON, N.C.- No result was achieved in Saturday's match with Wofford, but the Highlanders dominated their way to a 3-0 lead before the match was canceled halfway through the competition.

Freshman Demi Taramonlis made his regular-season debut for the Highlanders with a swift 6-0, 6-2 victory while Andres Silva celebrated his birthday by posting a quick 6-3, 6-1 win as well.

Yevhen Sirous battled in his match winning the first set 6-3 before dropping his second set 4-6 and then ultimately winning the super tiebreaker to put Radford up 3-0 against the Terriers.

Moving on to the next trio of games, freshman Konstantinos Raptis made his Highlander debut by getting off to a strong 4-1 lead in the first set. Matko Varga and Karl Katlaps were also starting up their matches, but nobody was able to grab a considerable lead before the match was called.

UP NEXT
Radford will regroup and come back ready to play Sunday to match up with UNC Wilmington.
