- The Highlanders return to Cupp Stadium for the season opener against Richmond after winning last weekend on the road against St. Francis (Pa).
- Against the Red Flash last time out Lindsey Carroll and Grace Gleason led the Highlanders with four goals apiece with Amanda Paino adding three goals of her own.
- Radford is off to its third straight season starting with a 1-0 record as the Highlanders will look to build some momentum.
- Maddie Bowman also notched nine saves in her first start of the season against the Red Flash.
- Richmond is coming off a 20-6 victory against fellow Big South opponent Longwood where three Spiders scored three goals.

- Radford is down to just two more meets before hosting the Big South Championships at the conclusion of February.
- This weekends meet is at the Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational where many schools from across the east coast such as Campbell, VCU, Hampton, Maryland, Longwood, High Point, UNC Greensboro, and Wake Forest.
- The Highlanders are coming off a record-filled weekend at the VMI Winter Relays where athletes took home four first-place finishes.
- Senior La'Tisha Chambers reset her own program record in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.59 seconds which placed her first overall in the finals of the 60-meter dash.
- Emilie Miller and Rachel Millirons also took home first-place finishes in the 60-meter hurdles and 3000-meter event respectively.
- The meet is named in honor of Darius Dixon, a promising freshman sprinter from Western Branch High School in Chesapeake, Va. who opened his Liberty track & field career by competing in the 200 and 400-meter dash events on Dec. 5, 2013. Two days later, he was tragically killed in a car accident at the age of 18. This is the sixth straight year of hosting the event in his memory with a special recognition ceremony being held on Saturday.
