BURLINGTON, N.C. – Thanks to a 2-under par third round, the Radford Men's Golf team tied with Big South rival Longwood for third place at the Phoenix Invitational on Tuesday. Host school Elon held on to secure the title.
It was
Hayden Miller who turned in the best performance of the tournament for the Highlanders following his Big South Player of the Week nod last time out. The junior shot -5 thanks to seven birdies in the final round to finish in 14
th on the individual leaderboard.
Just behind him was
Bryce Corbett, who shot 1-over par on Tuesday to finish -1 overall and tied for the 22
ndspot.
Tyler Hull joined him in a top-30 finish, shooting -1 on the day and even overall to tie for 27
th.
It wasn't the best day for
Nicholas Taliaferro, but he still ended the tournament tied for 33
rd at +1.
Ryan Neil concluded the scoring for the Highlanders, shooting +3 over the last two days to finish T-42
nd.
