Highlanders Fall to Aggies in Second Home Match

RADFORD, Va. – The Radford volleyball team picked up a set in a 3-1 loss to new Big South foe North Carolina A&T Saturday afternoon.

Similar to the night before, Radford came out strong in the first set of the match. The Highlanders picked up a 25-20 win to open with a 1-0 lead. Radford finished the set on a 4-1 run thanks to a pair of kills by Hailey Flowers and closed out the set on an ace by Trinity Burge.

The second set was just as competitive as the first as Radford battled back from an early deficit to tie the set late at 24-all with another clutch kill from Flowers. North Carolina A&T scored back-to-back points to close out the set 26-24, however.

After evening the match at 1-1, North Carolina A&T would take control of the match and win the next two sets to escape the Dedmon Center with a win.
