Radford Lacrosse Welcomes Assistant Coach Heather Conklin

RADFORD, Va. - The Radford women's lacrosse program announced the hiring of Assistant Coach Heather Conklin Wednesday. Conklin joins Head Coach Samantha Hurley's staff after a decorated collegiate playing career at SUNY Brockport in Brockport, N.Y and a brief stint at Wooster College.

A native of Penn Yan, N.Y., Conklin spent the past semester in the same position at Wooster. There she served as offensive coordinator in addition to recruiting and other coaching responsibilities.

In her time in Brockport, Conklin earned recognition as Second-team All American, academic all American,  First-Team All-SUNYAC four times as well as being named 2019 SUNYAC Tournament MVP. Additionally, Conklin was a three-time IWLCA All-Region selection and was named to the SUNYAC Women's Lacrosse All-Decade Team for the 2010s. Conklin concluded her career ranked in the first in career goals while also holding the Brockport record for single-season goals with 71 in 2019. Female Athlete of the Year at Brockport 2021. SUNYAC Offensive Player of the Year 2021.

The Highlanders will open their 2022 regular season on Saturday, February 12 at home as they take on the ECU Pirates.
