Radford in 12th After Two Rounds at Pinnacle Bank Intercollegiate

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. – The Radford men's golf team took to the course for the first time during the 2020-21 season Monday afternoon, playing the opening 36 holes of the Pinnacle Bank Intercollegiate.

Sporting a lineup featuring three freshmen, the Highlanders are in 12th place after the first two rounds. Radford improved its second-round score by 14 strokes (292) compared to its first round (306) and jumped two spots on the leaderboard from round one to round two.

Radford has a trio of golfers inside the top 30, with Bryce Corbett leading the way for the Red and White at 3-over, which is good for a tie for 16th. Nicholas Taliaferro and Bobby Dudeck are in a tie for 23rd at 4-over for the Highlanders. Taliaferro leads Radford with eight birdies through the first two rounds, including five in the second round on the way to an even-par 72 for the round.

Dudeck had the low round of the day for the Highlanders, as he had four birdies and an eagle in the second round for a 1-under 71.

Channing Blevins (11-over) and Hunter Duncan (17-over) round out the Highlander contingent for the tournament.

Overall, Augusta and Charleston Southern are tied for the team lead at 577, with both 10 shots clear of third-place Chattanooga. High Point's Brandon Einstein and Kennesaw State's Preston Topper are tied for the individual lead at 4-under, one shot ahead of Augusta's Alex van Wyk.
