Radford Drops Close Match to Tennessee Tech

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – In their third match in as many days Radford (3-3) came close but ultimately fell to Tennessee Tech (2-5) Thursday afternoon.

In doubles play Tennessee Tech took all three courts but Demis Taramonlis and Andres Silva contested court two which required a tiebreaker in a 7-6(8) final.

In singles play Guilherme Severin made quick work on court three for Radford, easily winning 6-4, 6-1. Severin's win was his fourth already in his freshman season. After Tennessee Tech clinched the match, Radford picked up two more courts. Taramonlis battled on court two to the tune of a 7-6(2), 6-4 victory while Aditya Balsekar picked up his third straight win on court six 6-3, 3-6, 7-5.
