Radford Dominates Campbell in Big South Opener

BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Radford (4-3, 1-0 BSC) went on the road and dominated fellow conference foe Campbell (0-5, 0-2 BSC) on Sunday afternoon.

The Highlanders took the doubles point with the force to start the day. After the Camels took court three, Radford took court two thanks to the play of Demis Taramonlis and Andres Silva winning 6-4. Yevhen Sirous and Guilherme Severin clinched the doubles point with their 6-4 win on court one.

Wasting no time going into singles play, Severin quickly took court three 6-2, 6-0. Silva also made quick work of his opponent on court five with a 6-0, 7-5 victory to make the Highlander's lead 3-0. Clinching the match today was Taramonlis who won on court two 6-3, 6-4. From there Radford didn't let up with Aditya Balsekar winning on court six and Konstantinos Raptis also taking court four after a couple of tiebreakers.

Today's success marked five singles victories on the season for both Severin and Raptis who have played the entire year on the third and fourth flights respectively. Taramonlis also notched his fourth victory in doubles play which leads the team after pairing up with Silva and Raptis this year.
