Radford Runs Rampant on VMI in Home Opener

RADFORD, Va. – Four different Highlanders found the back of the net Tuesday afternoon at Cupp Stadium as Radford downed VMI in its home opener, 4-1.

Quincy Etienne, Pape Oumar Gueye, Dondre' Robinson and Octavio Ocampo each scored a goal for the Red and White. Max-Emilios Angelides notched a pair of assists, while Robinson also added a helper for Radford.

Radford opened the scoring 20 minutes in, as Angelides set up Etienne with a pass inside the box that the latter slotted past VMI goalkeeper Broden Schull for his first career goal. The Highlanders doubled their lead just nine minutes later, as Gueye hit a free kick into the bottom left corner for his second of the season.

Robinson scored his first of the season, unassisted, just six minutes into the second half when he used his speed beat the VMI defense before slotting a low shot past Schull into the net. An Angelides cross off a free kick was headed in by Ocampo just two minutes later for the Highlanders' fourth of the day.
