Highlanders Dominate Lancers in Third Conference Win

BLACKSBURG, Va. – Radford (5-7, 3-1 BSC) went indoors due to the cold weather Thursday afternoon and took down conference foe Longwood (3-9, 0-4 BSC) with ease.

The day began with strong play in doubles by the Highlanders. Malin Falk and Emily Brandow took care of business first with a 6-1 win on court two. Katey Fruehauf and Tyler Blalock then clinched the doubles point on court three with a 6-1 win as well giving Radford the 1-0 lead.
 
Radford rode its success into singles play where Falk made it look easy on court three winning 6-1, 6-0. The reigning Big South player of the week Loudili also looked good on court one winning her fifth straight singles match. Longwood took court two however, making it a 3-1 score.
 
Emily Brandow had the clinching court winning on court four 6-0, 6-4. From there Radford continued to dominate as Camryn McClure took court five and Katey Fruehauf finished the day with a win on court six.

The Highlanders will face Charleston Southern on Saturday afternoon as the two squads battle for one of the four coveted playoff spots.
