Radford Falls to First Place High Point

RADFORD, Va. – The Radford women's lacrosse team fell to the Big South's first place team, High Point, 19-4, on Saturday at Vert Stadium.
Despite scoring two in the first half, Radford surrendered 15 first half goals to the Panthers. High Point scored six goals in the first four-plus minutes of the game. Then the Highlanders struck two minutes later with a goal by Ava Goeller
Grace Gleason made it a 6-2 game with 13:30 to play. It was her 17th goal of the season. After that, High Point scored nine to end the half and held a 15-2 edge through the first 30 minutes.
The Panthers kept their foot on the gas pedal and scored four goals in the first 10 and a half minutes of the second half. That made it a 13-0 run over 30-plus minutes. Radford was able to notch the final two games of the game. The first came from Ashlyn Grogan with 10:37 left. It was Grogan's first of the season. Lindsey Carroll ended the scoring with 8:38 on the clock with her 24th goal of the 2021 campaign.
Olivia Hunter saw action in goal and didn't allow a goal, while acquiring two saves.

Radford will wrap up the regular season hosting Presbyterian at 5 p.m., on Wednesday night.
