Women’s Lacrosse Falls to Mercer

RADFORD, Va. – The Radford Highlanders women's lacrosse team dropped a Big South contest to Mercer on Saturday, April 18 at the SORC, 24-0. The Highlanders fall to 2-4 in the conference, while Mercer improves to 6-0.
KEY STATS
Mercer jumped ahead early, scoring nine times in the first quarter. The Bears had a running clock going early in the second quarter and led 13-0 at the break. The Highlanders called some late timeouts to try and avoid the shutout, but the Bears held firm to take the win and stay unbeaten in Big South play.
UP NEXT
In terms of making the Big South Tournament, the Highlanders have a must-win game on Wednesday, April 22 at Longwood. First draw is set for 5:00 p.m. against their in-state Big South foes with coverage on ESPN+ from Farmville, Va.

- Alyssa Yost made her first appearance of the season and led Radford with three draw controls.
