Highlanders Finish Strong at Golfweek Invitational

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Radford completed competition at the Golfweek Invitational Tuesday afternoon using a strong second and third round to finish in the top five.

Day One
On the first day of competition the Highlanders competed in the first two rounds of the tournament and shot 2-over (290) as a team in the first round. Bobby Dudeck had the best performance in the first-round shooting 2-uner and recording a team-high five birdies. Tyler Hull also shot 1-under in the first round with three birdies with the second-best performance on the team that round. Patrick Gareiss also recorded the lone eagle on the round in the ninth hole.

Radford would finish the first round tied for sixth place before moving onto the second round. The team played much better in the second-round shooting 3-under (283). Every Highlander recorded three or more birdies, but this time it was Hunter Duncan who had the best round for the team at 3-under with his three birdies. Corbett followed up his strong first round with a 2-under showing, while Hull and Gareiss both shot even to round out the day. Radford now sat in fifth place moving onto the final round and final day of competition.

Day Two
On the final day of competition the Highlanders would shoot 284 at 4-under to claim a top five spot in the tournament. The freshman Corbett led the team with his team-best 5-under round that included six birdies and an eagle on the fourth hole. Hull also had an impressive round, shooting 4-under to help himself finish tied for seventh overall.

UP NEXT
Radford will be right back in action for its fifth and final regular season tournament of the spring season at the Wofford Intercollegiate set to run through April 12th through April 13th.
