
Goeller Named Big South Freshman of the Week for Third Time

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Following a career-high four goals against Gardner-Webb this past week, Ava Goeller was named Big South Freshman of the Week by the conference office Tuesday morning.
With 19 minutes remaining in the first half at Gardner-Webb, Goeller scored to make it a 3-2 lead which the Highlanders would never relinquish. The freshman standout is now up to 21 goals this season which leads the team, and it was her fifth hat trick of the year. Since March 13th she has scored a total of 14 goals over the span of five games.
Goeller and the Highlanders are back at home this week for two conference matches. First is Winthrop on Wednesday, and then Longwood will come to town for a commonwealth clash on Saturday.
