
Highlanders Start Strong In First Exhibition Match

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Radford women's soccer team got off to a hot start Thursday afternoon in their first action of the Fall 2021 season.
Lily McLane notched the first goal of the game ten minutes in to give the Highlanders the early 1-0 edge. Just a couple minutes later, Radford doubled its lead thanks to sophomore Amy Swain. Katie Oliver also picked up an assist on the second goal.
Radford would lead 2-0 at the half, but would ultimately fall 3-2 by the game's end. The Highlanders will be back in action this Sunday at 7 p.m. for another exhibition with Concord.
