FAIRFAX, VA. – The Radford women's soccer team fell in double overtime to George Mason on Sunday night ending a six-game winning streak of Radford. The six straight wins to open a season were the most by the Highlanders since the 2017 season.
The first half belonged to the Highlanders as the defense stood strong for the whole 45 minutes and notched their ninth-straight scoreless half. The Radford defense would hold until the 77th minute in the second half where George Mason broke through and ended the scoreless streak at 460 minutes. The score would remain all tied up at one at the end of regulation and through the first overtime period. George Mason broke the tie with just under four minutes remaining in the second overtime period, sealing their win and snapping Radford's streak.

George Mason is a good team and I think this game will help us moving forward. I appreciate the huge fan support we had tonight on the road from fans, parents and alumni." – Head Coach Ben Sohrabi
