DAVIDSON, N.C. – The Radford Men's Golf team made a furious comeback in the second round of the River Run Collegiate to jump nine spots on the team leaderboard and finish Monday's play in fourth place.
After shooting a combined 305 in the first round,
Tyler Hull,
Bryce Corbett, and
Nicholas Taliaferro all shot well under par to lead the Highlanders back into contention with a second-round 280.
Hull (T-7
th out of 84) sunk two birdies in the first round before catching fire and collecting eight more in the second round to lead Radford at -1 for the day. Taliaferro (T-10
th, E) isn't far behind thanks to seven birdies of his own in the second round.
Corbett (T-21
st, +4) overcame a double-bogey on the 18
th hole to finish -4 in the second round with seven birdies as well. Over the last 18 holes, the trio rose 31 spots, 28 spots, and 51 spots up the player leaderboard respectively.
Ryan Neil (T-44
th, +8) and
Hunter Duncan (T-64
th, +12) rounded out the scoring for the Highlanders on the day.
