BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. - The Radford Volleyball team dropped its first match of Big South play to Gardner-Webb Tuesday. The Highlanders were swept in the match with two close sets to close it out.
After dropping the first 16-25, the Highlanders built leads in each of the final two sets but were unable to hold on during strong surges by the Bulldogs, dropping the sets 21-25 and 24-26.
KEY STATS
- Daria Burrows was the only Highlander in double-figure points with 10.5.
- Taylor Moore led the way with 11 digs.
- The Highlanders recorded 20 kills on the day.
UP NEXT
Radford will travel to Winthrop for another conference tilt on Saturday before finally returning home for a match with High Point on Oct. 1.
