
Highlanders Fall at N.C. A&T on Thursday Night

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Radford Women's Basketball team fell to North Carolina A&T, 88-47, on Thursday night.
The Aggies stormed out of the gates early by going on an 18-0 run over the first five minutes of the game. Bridget Birkhead was able to stop the scoring drought with just under five minutes to go with a tough shot that she banked in. The Aggies did not let up and would finish the first half with a 47-17 lead.
Radford got some offensive help in the second half from Kyanna Morgan, who played in her first game since January 15th. The sophomore hit three of four three-pointers for a team-best nine points. Birkhead finished the night with nine points as well while Jackie Christ, Rachel LaLonde and Carmen Williams helped the Highlanders on the boards with four rebounds each.
NEXT UP
Radford will look to rebound Saturday when the team finally returns home to host Commonwealth rival Longwood on the Carilion Clinic Court inside the Dedmon Center at 2 p.m.
