Big South Tabs Corbett As Golfer of the Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – After a dominant showing at the Elon Phoenix Invitational earlier this week, Radford men's golf's Bryce Corbett has been named Big South Golfer of the Week, the conference office announced Thursday afternoon.
The standout junior placed 3rd out of 100 golfers at Alamance Country Club, shooting 67-65-71—203 for a 10-under par score. The only two competitors above him on the individual leaderboard were Elon golfers playing on their home course.
Corbett performed better than anyone in the field on Par 5's, carding a combined -9 on those holes. He also ranked fourth out of all golfers in the tournament with 17 birdies over three rounds. A birdie on the 12th hole of the second round just added to his strong performance.
This marks the third Big South Golfer of the Week award of Corbett's career with each of the first two coming in back-to-back weeks this past March.
The Highlanders return to the course on Oct. 23-Oct. 25 for the ODU-OBX Invitational at Kilmarlic Golf Club.
