Men’s Tennis Falls to #16 N.C. State

BOX SCORE RALEIGH, N.C. – Radford (2-4) had many competitive individual matches in their 6-1 loss to #16 North Carolina State Thursday afternoon.

In doubles play all three courts had close finishes. Aditya Balsekar and Robert Hagen fell 6-4 on court three while Demis Taramonlis and Andres Silva fell in a tiebreaker 7-6 on the top flight. Guilhereme Severin and Konstantinos Raptis were both down just 6-5 on court two before going unfinished.

In singles play North Carolina State was able to take five courts to clinch the match despite a huge comeback from Balsekar on court five. Balskear was able to battle back after dropping his first set to come all the way back and defeat his opponent 3-6, 7-5, 1-0(8). Balsekar's opponent came into the match owning a 7-2 record in his last nine singles matches with three wins over top-120 opponents.
