Balsekar Named Big South Player of the Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Big South Conference announced Wednesday morning that Aditya Balsekar has been named Big South Player of the Week after his big singles win at #16 North Carolina State.

Balsekar played a part in the Highlanders 6-1 dismantling of North Carolina A&T on Saturday with a singles win on court five, but before that he had one of the bigger conference victories of the week. The Highlanders took on N.C. State last Thursday, and Balsekar battled back after dropping his first set to beat his opponent 3-6, 7-5, 1-0(8).

Radford has two matches scheduled for this week. Both matches are at home, as the team hosts UNC Greensboro on Thursday, March 3rd and then Tennessee Tech on Saturday, March 5th.
