Men’s Tennis Blows Through Sacred Heart

BOX SCORE ORLANDO, Fla. – Radford (6-4) picked up another dominant victory Tuesday afternoon in a 7-0 sweep. The Highlanders' second match of the day against Ferris State was canceled due to rain.

Match One
In the first match of the day the Highlanders took on Sacred Heart and were dominant in a 7-0 sweep. The tone was set in doubles play as Radford took all three courts. Aditya Balsekar and Robert Hagen finished first with ease on court three winning 6-1.

Guilherme Severin and Konstantinos Raptis clinched the 1-0 lead for Radford by winning 6-4 on court two. To finish things off Andres Silva and Demis Taramonlis won their fourth straight game 7-5 on court one.

Taramonlis made it a 2-0 match as he was dominant for his fourth straight win 6-2, 3-0 (won by retirement). Raptis rebounded for a dominant 6-2, 6-0 win on court four while Silva clinched on court three 6-1, 6-2 for his team-best ninth singles win of the season.

To round out the singles victories, Radford took home victories on courts six, five and two to complete the sweep. Hagen was as strong as it gets with a 6-0, 6-1 win on six, Balsekar continued his recent hot streak with a 6-1, 6-1 win on five and Severin rounded out the victorious Highlanders 7-6(2), 6-2 on two.
