KENNESAW, Ga. – The Radford women's lacrosse team fell to 0-5 on the year with a 16-5 defeat at the hands of the Kennesaw State Owls Tuesday. The Owls entered the game after a 22-9 trouncing of Wofford and continued that momentum with a fast start against the Highlanders.

In the first quarter the Radford was forced to weather a flurry of scores from Kennesaw State as they tallied seven goals.
Molly O'Brien scored her fourth goal of the season at the 10:18 mark before
Jessica Diorio added a second goal with 14 seconds remaining in the period to make it 7-2 in favor of the Owls after 15 minutes.

The second quarter was more of the same.
Grace Gleason hit the top corner for her third goal of the season at the 5:37 mark but it was not enough to counter five goals from the Owls. The two teams entered halftime with a 12-3 margin.

The scoring slowed in the third with just two goals for the Owls to go with Radford goals for
Margaret Gleason and a second goal for
Jessica Diorio.
The Owls got moving again on the offensive end to close out the game with two more goals in the fourth quarter, holding Radford scoreless.

- Dioro notched her first multi-goal and multi-point game since April 7, 2021 against Winthrop.
- With the goal, Margaret Gleason extended her team lead in points on the season with eight total now.
