Hull, Gareiss In Top-20 After Two Rounds At Wofford Invitational

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Playing in its final tournament before the Big South Championships begin, the Radford men's golf team racked up birdie after birdie and is in ninth place through two rounds of the Wofford Invitational.

Tyler Hull was one of just seven golfers on the day to stay under par in both rounds, shooting a 71 thanks to a team-high five birdies across his first 18 holes and 70 in his second 18 holes. The senior is tied for 6th heading into the third round.

Junior Patrick Gareiss returned to the lineup after sitting out the Seahawk Intercollegiate two weeks ago and his impact was felt immediately.

The Hickory High School product carded two eagles in the first round alone, shooting a 2-under par 70 for the third time in his last five rounds. He then proceeded to shoot 73 in the second round and is tied for 18^th out of 96 golfers on the individual leaderboard.

Nicholas Taliaferro shot even in the first round and +2 in the second round to give Radford three golfers in the top 41.

Bryce Corbett didn't put up his usual low numbers in the first round, shooting 6-over par, but bounced back in a big way with a 73 in the second round. He tallied six birdies on his second trip through the course to climb 12 spots up the leaderboard.

Ryan Neil rounded out the group with a 77 in the first round and a 78 in the second round.
