Radford to Meet Wake Forest in NCAA Tournament First Round

RADFORD, VA. - The Radford men's tennis team learned their NCAA Tournament First Round opponent on Monday evening as the Highlanders will travel to ninth-seeded Wake Forest for the opening round on Friday, May 6th.

The Highlanders (14-7) will meet the Demon Deacons (31-6) at 4 p.m. on May 6th at the Wake Forest Tennis Center. The following day, the winner of that match will face the winner of a first-round matchup between Auburn and Texas Tech.

The trip to the tournament is the second for head coach Rob Bareford, notching his second tournament trip in three full seasons with the Highlanders. Bareford and the Highlanders last won the Big South Tournament title in 2019.

Radford and Wake Forest have only met once in the history of the two programs. The match-up came all the way back in 1994 where the Highlanders came up short, 4-1.
