WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Playing through sweltering late summer heat, the Radford women's golf team returned to the course for the first time this school year for the first and second rounds of the William & Mary Fall Invitational on Monday.
 
Natalie Welsh and Jimenna Ramirez went shot-for-shot across all 36 holes, with each Highlander carding 75 in the first round and 77 in the second round to tie for 23^rd out of 60 golfers at 8-over par. Welsh accounted for four birdies on the day while Ramirez sunk three of her own.
 
Jayde Dudley matched her teammate with four birdies, including three in the first round when she shot 76. The Roanoke, Va. native then carded a 79 in the second round, moving her into a tie for 36^th.
 
Sophomore Hannah Lindemann put in tons of work over her first collegiate season and was rewarded with her debut in the starting lineup this week. A birdie on the first hole highlighted a challenging first-round 81, but she did a great job of limiting her mistakes in the second round and shaved four points off her score for a 77.
 
Niki Batac wrapped up the scoring for Radford on the day, carding a team-high six birdies – including three in each round – but was plagued by four double bogies and one triple bogey. She finished the day with an 80-79 for 15-over par.
 
Kaitlyn Mosdell made the tournament as an individual and shot 85-83 to tie for 55^th at +24.
