Women’s Tennis Duels West Virginia to A 6-1 Final

BLACKSBURG, Va. – The Radford women's tennis program fell to a tough West Virginia squad Saturday night 6-1 at the Burrows-Burrelson Tennis Center.
The night match got going in doubles play. While the Mountaineers claimed the point, Radford was competitive with Camryn McClure and Ameek Batth leading 4-3 on court three before going unfinished.
Brooke Murphy had the highlight victory of the night as she picked up a dominant 6-4, 6-0 win on court six for Radford. West Virginia would take the other five remaining courts which led to the 6-1 final Saturday night.
The Highlanders will have a week to regroup before their Big South opener on Sunday, February 26th. Radford will visit Asheville, N.C. to take on UNC Asheville with an anticipated 1:00 p.m. first serve.
