Women’s Tennis Falls to UNC Asheville in Big South Opener

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The Radford women's tennis program fell in their Big South opener Sunday afternoon to UNC Asheville 7-0.
Radford would end up falling in the doubles point, but Emily Brandow and Julia Abrams were dueling in a 4-4 tie on court one before going unfinished. In singles play Lexi Smolder highlighted, going three sets in her battle on court three. After winning 6-4, Smolder fell in a tight tiebreaker in the second set 7-6 before Asheville ultimately took the third set tiebreaker 10-5.
The Highlanders will turn their focus next to a match at ETSU that is currently scheduled for 3 p.m. on March 3rd.
