Baseball Falls to No. 12 North Carolina

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — The Radford baseball team dropped their first road contest of the season at No. 12 North Carolina on Tuesday evening at Boshamer Stadium, falling by a 14-2 final.

The Highlanders (2-2) were paced offensively by Zack Whitacre, who went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a walk. In the fourth inning, Whitacre launched a solo shot to left field for his first home run of the season, getting Radford on the board.

North Carolina (3-1) struck early, scoring six runs in the second inning. The Tar Heels saw a balanced offensive output, as five different players recorded multiple RBI.
