Wagner Takes Series Finale from Radford

Radford (2-5) was paced offensively by catcher Julian Rojas, who tallied a career-high four RBI. In the first inning, Rojas got the Highlanders on the board first with a sacrifice fly. Later in the seventh, with the game tied at four, the senior backstop belted a three-run home run, his first long-ball of the season.
Unfortunately, the Wagner offense proved to be too much. The Seahawks (3-3) struck for 10 runs in the final two innings, totaling 21 hits on the afternoon. Third baseman Cody Bey led the Wagner bats, going 4-for-6 with two runs and four RBI.
Centerfielder Cameron Pittman also brought the lumber, hitting a two-run homer in the fourth inning that tied the game four apiece. It was part of a three-run barrage for the Highlanders, who recorded five extra-base hits for the day.
On the mound, Clay Clatterbaugh came on in relief of starter Luke VonGoedert and pitched two scoreless innings. Lefthander Carter Seabrooke also tossed two scoreless frames.
Andrew Rucci was the winning pitcher for the Seahawks, pitching a scoreless seventh. Alec Burnett earned a six-out save for the visitors.

- Radford tied their season-high in walks with eight.
- Freshman catcher Garrett Pancione continues to impress, going 2-for-4 with a walk.
- All nine starters in the Highlanders' lineup reached base at least once.
Radford will face a pair of ACC foes in midweek action this week as they travel to Virginia Tech on Tuesday. The game will start at 1 p.m. and can be streamed on ACC Network Extra.
