Highlanders Take Three Singles Courts, Come Up Just Short at Presbyterian

CLINTON, S.C. – The Radford women's tennis program came up just short Saturday afternoon taking three singles courts to come up just short, 4-3.
Doubles play was intense between the two squads where Radford came a court shy of the early advantage. Julia Abrams and Emily Brandow picked up a big tiebreaker win on court one for the Highlanders 7-6(3).
Singles play was highly competitive between the two squads, developing a close finish in the match. Abrams picked up another win on the day in three sets on the top flight 6-4, 2-6, 6-4. Lexi Smolder also kept her hot streak going with a dominant 6-1, 6-4 win on court three. Rachel Ekanem also picked up a big win on court five coming back 5-7, 7-5, 1-0(9).
UP NEXT
The Highlanders close out the regular season and celebrate Senior Day tomorrow, Sunday, April 16th against Appalachian State. First serve is set for 12 p.m., but senior day festivities will begin at 11:51 a.m.
