RADFORD, Va. – The Radford Athletics department has revealed its new production trailer, an addition that is sure to make a major difference in ESPN+ broadcasting efforts across the Highlanders' 16 varsity sports.
The trailer will house Radford's video production equipment and serve as a "home base" at each venue during broadcasts. While was soft-launched during the Spring 2023 season, the 2023-24 academic year will be its full debut.
"I'm so excited to have a Mobile Production Trailer finished and rolled out," said Director of Video & Creative Services Brian Yohe. "The trailer saves me hours of set up time every broadcast, so I can focus more on telling the stories of student-athletes as well as saving wear and tear on the broadcast equipment. I want to thank all the Highlanders out there who helped make this a reality!"
With the production trailer at his disposal, Director of Video & Creative Services Brian Yohe will be able to transition from one event to another much easier, leading to more contests being streamed and a higher quality presentation.
The acquisition and outfitting of the trailer would not have been possible without a number of donors who stepped up, including those who contributed to a Summer 2022 crowdfunding campaign, as well as a sizeable donation that was made anonymously.
Fans of the Highlanders can catch scheduled home events on watchespn.com via ESPN+. Head to RadfordAthletics.com and visit your favorite team's schedule team to see which events will be streamed.
