RADFORD, Va. – The Radford men's soccer program fell 3-2 against Presbyterian Saturday afternoon but celebrated senior day prior to the game honoring eight seniors for their dedication to the program.
KEY STATS
PLAY BY PLAY
It was a slow start for both sides as only one attempt at a goal was made in the first 20 minutes of the fixture. Presbyterian would break through in the 21st minute and double their lead in the 33rd minute to make it a 2-0 lead for the Blue Hose.
The Highlanders wouldn't go away quietly as they would score two goals in a one-minute frame with the first one coming at the 43rd minute, when Cam Lamptey would slide one past the keeper for his first of his career and the second coming at the 44th minute after a Presbyterian handball would award Radford with a penalty and Joep De Bruin would easily put away to tie it back up at 2-2.
However, the Blue Hose would retake their lead in the 65th minute. Radford would record seven shots in the final 25 minutes but were unable to find the equalizer, ending this one at 3-2 in favor of Presbyterian.
