GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Radford men's soccer program fell 3-0 at UNC Greensboro Tuesday night to close out non-conference action.
PLAY BY PLAY
In the first half UNC Greensboro would open scoring within the first 11 minutes to take an early lead 1-0 in tonight's fixture. The Highlanders were able to come away from the half with chances at goal but none too threatening for the opposing keeper.
For the second half, the Spartans would tack on two more goals to their lead and would walk away with the 3-0 final over the Highlanders.
HEAD COACH BARRETT QUOTABLE
"We played some of our best soccer of the season at times tonight. Against teams of this caliber we have to play our best for the full 90 minutes. We made a couple of bad mistakes on their first two goals so we have to chase to game and open ourselves up in order to get back in the game. We created a few good chances but ultimately gave up the third on a counter attack. I can't say enough about the character of these men. We continue to work hard, have a great attitude and play hard for each other. Our season now comes down to 4 massive conference games to get into the Big South tournament. I always believe in these guys and know we will give it every thing we have to get the results we need starting on Saturday at USC Upstate." - Chris Barrett

The Highlanders will hit the road once again this week to Spartanburg, S.C. on Saturday, October 12th to resume Big South play against USC Upstate. That match is set for a 3 PM start time and will be streamed on ESPN+
