FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The Radford men's basketball program ended its West coast trip with a setback as the Highlanders were knocked off, 78-68, in a non-conference clash against Colorado State inside Moby Arena on Tuesday night.
Radford started off the game strong and held a five-point lead (19-14) at the 10:06 mark of the opening half. The Highlanders extended their advantage to 22-18 with 8:30 left and the game was knotted at 24-24 with 4:46 remaining. That is when the Rams would make their move however as they ripped off an 11-0 run to jump ahead 35-24 with just one minute to go in the opening 20 minutes.
Radford was able to knock down a few free throws to close out the half as the two sides went into the locker room with the contest at 37-27 in Colorado State's favor.
The Highlanders continued to fight their way back and made it just a three-point game at 54-51 with 7:43 remaining. Radford kept Colorado State's lead in single digits throughout the rest of the contest until 34 seconds left to play, as the Rams were able to escape with the 78-68 win, in a game that featured five lead changes and five times that the contest was tied.

Josiah Harris paced the Highlander attack with 15 points to go with four rebounds and one steal. The Wilmington, Delaware native has now gone for double-digit points in four of his last five games and seven times overall so far this season. He went 7-of-13 from the field (.538) and set a season-best with seven made field goals.

Zion Walker had a career night as the freshman set a season-best in points (12), free throws made (three), rebounds (three) and assists (three). He also hit the first three-point field goal of his career tonight against the Rams.

Brandon Maclin added 12 points of his own along with four boards, three helpers and a swipe. It was his fifth double-digit game in scoring this year.

Jarvis Moss was the fourth Highlander in double-figures with 12 points. He added two rebounds and a team-best two steals.

Ibu Yamazaki chipped in seven points, three boards and an assist.

Truth Harris (four points, one rebound, one helper),
Isaiah Gaines (three points, three boards, one assist) and
Tony Felder (three points) also contributed on the stat sheet.
NEXT UP
The Highlanders return home for a showdown with in-state foe Virginia-Lynchburg on Friday, December 20 inside the Dedmon Center as part of a doubleheader with the Radford women's basketball program. The men get the day started at 1 PM ET, followed by the women at 3:30 PM.
