Brandow Stays Hot, Women’s Tennis Drops Match Against Missouri

LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Radford women's tennis program dropped their match against a tough Missouri squad Saturday night 6-1.

Emily Brandow highlighted the night for the Highlanders who faced yet another power opponent in Missouri. The senior earned a strong singles victory on court four 6-3, 7-6(6). Brandow finishes the week perfect in singles play with two wins.

Lexi Smolder also forced a tiebreaker in her first set in singles court three before ultimately falling 6(5)-7, 2-6. Michaela Stephens was competitive on court two singles but also fell 5-7, 3-6. Against a nationally ranked 16th doubles pairing Julia Abrams and Stephens were able to grab a game before ultimately falling.

The Highlanders will have a week off before their tough schedule continues in one week. Radford matches up with another power conference foe in West Virginia on Saturday, February 10th.
