CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Thanks to a strong showing at the Surf Club Invitational, Bryce Corbett has been named Big South Men's Golfer of the Week, the conference office announced Thursday afternoon.
 
Corbett posted a score of 72-67-72—211 (-2) to tie for thirteenth out of 90 golfers at the Appalachian State-hosted event earlier this week. He ended the tournament with 10 birdies across all 54 holes, and would record two eagles, the most in the field.
 
His performance led the Highlanders to a second-place finish as a team, giving the program five top-3 finishes so far in the 2023-24 season.
 
This marks the sixth Big South Golfer of the Week award for Corbett. It's also the third weekly award the team has been given this season, with Corbett winning the honor back in September 14, 2023, and Patrick Gareiss winning his third back in October 5, 2023.
 
Corbett and the Highlanders will have some time off before heading to Greenville, N.C. for Cutter Creek Intercollegiate. The tournament will begin on Friday, March 29 and conclude on Sunday, March 31.
