HARRISONBURG, Va. - The Radford Baseball team fell to JMU Tuesday evening at Veterans Memorial Park after JMU scored twelve runs in their final three innings at bat as the game ended in six innings due to weather.
The first two innings in today's midweek there were no runs scored as both sides were unable to get much going. Ben Keefe would have an impressive early showing going six up and six down in the innings and picking up a strikeout in the process.
However, the Dukes would get on the board first scoring five runs in the third. They would tack on five more in the fourth to extend their lead to 10-0. In the fifth they would add on their final two runs that would push the score 12-0 heading to the sixth.
In the sixth, the Highlanders would add on two runs for themselves. A ground out by Carson Bell would bring in Jhonkeanu Perez for the run and Mason Self would reach first base off a fielding error by the Dukes with the error also allowing Hunter Keen to safely find home. But, the two runs in the sixth weren't enough as this nonconfernce midweek game would end at 12-2.
