Highlanders Downed by High Point in Game Two

HIGH POINT, N.C. - The Radford baseball team fell to High Point in game two of their conference series by a 14-4 final score on Friday evening at Williard Stadium.

High Point would get things started early in this one as in the first inning they would add two runs to take the early 2-0 lead heading to the second. The Highlanders would cut the lead down to one after a single by Ben Williams and a fielding error by High Point would allow Mason Self to reach home with no problem. However, the Panthers in the third and fourth would add on three runs in each of those innings and in the fifth would muster one more to move their lead to 9-1 heading to the sixth.

For the seventh, High Point would add on five more runs to separate themselves even further from the Highlanders. But, in the final two innings, Radford would be able to tack on three more runs for themselves. For the eighth, Breckin Nace would ground out to second base but it would allow Zack Whitacre to find home. The second run would come through after Mason Self would single to right field for Butler to tack on the run. The last run came in the ninth courtesy of Hunter Keen as he would homer to left center. It wouldn't be enough as High Point would ultimately take game two of the series at 14-4.
