Presbyterian would score a single run to tie the game in the bottom of the first. In the second, the Blue Hose would go on a bit of a run as they were able to put six runs in the inning and pull away with the 7-1 lead.
In the third the Highlanders would get one back with a Conner Butler single to left center to drive in Zack Whitacre for the easy score. However, in the sixth, Presbyterian would continue to add on to their lead as they were able to put up a pair of runs to leave the score at 9-2 heading to seventh.
