PLAY BY PLAY
GAME ONE – In Radford's first match of the day, the team cruised to a three-set sweep over West Georgia. The tone was set early on with a dominant performance in the first set. Radford won it 25-17 using a 10-2 run midway through to fully pull away.

In the second set, things tightened up between the two programs. West Georgia and Radford traded points as the defenses buckled down to allow less kills and force more errors. Radford got a 4-1 run late, however, to pull ahead by two points and eventually seal the set at 25-23.

In the third set the score didn't start close but went over the typical 25 points when all was said and done. Radford had their best run to start a set so far jumping out to a 9-2 lead. West Georgia slowly clawed back not allowing Radford to pull away. West Georgia even took a 27-26 lead late until the Highlanders were able to rip off three straight points to seal the set 29-27 and win the match 3-0.

GAME TWO – In the first set of the Highlanders second match of the day against Nicholls, the team got off to another great start. As both teams fought for an advantage tied at seven-all, it was Radford who broke away first with a 6-1 run. The Highlanders kept about a four-point advantage until late in the set, eventually earning the early edge 25-21.

In the second set, successful attack attempts continued to be hard to come by for both squads. Radford led early and used some strong serving to pull away. Radford's lead peaked at 22-14 in the set allowing the Highlanders to eventually hold on for the strong 25-16 final in the set.

In set three, Radford just kept rolling to seal a perfect day. In their most dominant set Friday, Radford pulled away at the midway point and never looked back. Using solid serving, a consistent attack with few errors, and a team effort, the Highlanders finished the third set on an 11-3 run winning 25-15 to seal their second 3-0 sweep of the day.
